It seems Jerusalem is under constant attack. I know that land was the birthplace of the Hebrews. And that land is also the birthplace of Christianity. Mecca and Medina are the capitals of Islam. Why do the Muslims want Jerusalem?
Their people lived there for over 1,000 years, alongside the Jews, after the time of the romans. It is also Jerusalem is the third holiest city in Islam, in muslim tradition, Mohamed was taken up by God at Jerusalem, so a very important mosque is there, at the same location where Solomon, a great Jewish king from thousands of years ago, built the first temple to God. so they fight over a land that is holy to both of them.

The Christian expeditions to drive the Moslem invaders out of the Holy Land were called?
A holy wars
b pilgrimages
c crusades
d revolutionary
It was more than 100 years after the first such expedition that they began to be called Crusades. That name was not used in the first, or second Crusade.
How did the lords and knights behave in the Holy Land during the Crusades?
It varied depending on the time period. When the crusaders first stormed the gates of Jeruselum it was a bloodbath of monumental proportions, they killed Muslims, Jews and Christians when they sacked the city.
However, as the crusader states settled in by necessity they had to start behaving differently in order to get supplies and just maintain a basic standard of living.
This is an excerpt from Usama Ibn Munqidh who lived from 1095-1198, he’s essentially writing about the crusaders currently living in the holy lands and gives a first hand account of their actions and his perception of them. It’s pretty short and some if it is actually funny.

Israel and Palestine: The Holy Land
Israel and Palestine: The Holy Land
The Holy Land, generally refers to the geographical region of the Levant called Land of Canaan or Land of Israel in the Bible, and constitutes the Promised land.
This area, or sites within it, hold significant religious importance to at least four monotheistic Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the Bahá’í Faith. Part of its sanctity stems from the religious significance of Jerusalem, the holiest city to Judaism, the third-holiest to Islam, and part of the proposed Christian Pentarchy.

What was life in the holy land like during the first crusade?
I need details!!!
I need help for a paper in history, due tomorrow.
The First Crusade was a military expedition by European Christians to regain the Holy Lands Muslim’s hand conquest of the Levant, which resulted in the capture of Jerusalem in 1099. It was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II with the primary goal of responding to the appeal from Byzantine Emperor Alexius I. The Emperor requested that western volunteers come to their aid and repel the invading Seljuk Turks from Anatolia, modern day Turkey. An additional goal soon became the principal objective—the Christian reconquest of the sacred city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land and the freeing of the Eastern Christians from Islamic rule.
Both knights and peasants from many nations of Western Europe traveled over land and by sea first towards Constantinople (modern day Istanbul) and then towards Jerusalem as crusaders; however, the numbers of the peasants completely outnumbered the numbers of the knights. As the peasants and knights were split in different armies, only the knights’ army reached Jerusalem. Once there, the crusaders set up a siege and captured the city in July 1099, establishing the Kingdom of Jerusalem, County of Tripoli, the Principality of Antioch, and the County of Edessa.
What is the basis for Jews claiming exclusive rights to the Holy Land?
…as it is still known to two billion Christians and almost as many Muslims. What is the legal basis? Even looked at from a purely religious point of view it makes no sense since half the world’s jews are actually athiests. There are only about 7 million practicing Jews on earth. Juxtaposed against Christian-Muslim rights, how does this weigh favorably in the balance?
There is no logical basis. It is a product of Protestant messianism. As to zionism itself, the whole concept has always been an ethnic state comprised as exclusively as possible of Jews or former Jews, ideally Ashenazi. Yes,more than 80% of the Ashkenazi are athiest, irony of ironies. Politically, the area was sensitive at the time due to the Suez Canal and it was felt by the British Empire than jews would be a more reliable ally than Arabs, whether Christian or Muslims, and at least 15% of Pals are Christian. It is a formal "Jewish State" and does not permit emmigration by non-jews. Period. And it is dedicated to driving out the Pals one way or another, regradless of their religion. That is called ethnic cleansing. There is no legal, moral or religious basis for this alleged government. It should be dissolved.
How long have we got left before War in the Holy land triggers One world Control?
Present day conditions of World bancruptcy and uncontrollable polico-economic collapse seem to set the stage for the new world order .Add to this the coincidence of Palestinian conflagration and we appear to be close to the catalyst events of Armageddon. What other forecast is possible?
The new Israel (1948), Jerusalem the capital (1967), the rebuilding of the Temple (plans underway now)…I’d say within 3 years
THE HOLY LAND 2
How many trees were cut down during the time Jesus wandered in the holy-land to build homes?
I am wondering how many know the answer and reasoning behind this . It has to do with the economics of the region and was later matched by the number of trees cut down to make keels for warships in the same area during the crusades .
How many stones were cut to make roads and how many insects were crushed when they laid them? I think we ought to know.
