In 2 Samuel 24, David counted the number of fighting men, and the Lord was angry, so plague struck for 3 days. Why was it wrong?
My answer is when the lord gives you a task to accomplish just do it without any doubt.Just trust that the lord will never leave you or forsake you.
Why was it wrong for King David to count the number of fighting men?

Is Jesus genetically related to King David, or is he descended from who he pleases?
Often as I am reading the Bible I have to wonder, was Jesus descended from David genetically, and so if he was then so wasn’t Joseph or Mary? Is it a purely spiritual relationship, or is it supposed to be genetic?
Jesus is genetically related to Kind David by the line of Mary. I nearly said by Joseph as well, but that is incorrect.
Which family is currently from the line of King David?
I may be wrong about this and mean no disrespect but…if Jews believe the Messiah has to be from the line of King David then they must still be keeping track of the lineage….so who’s currently in that lineage and…how many prophets came after Jesus?
The Bagrationi, who were the royal family of Georgia – Georgia in the Caucasus, not the USA – claim descent from King Solomon. (In fact, they used to go into mourning yearly on the Feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, on the grounds that it was a death in the family!) There are still a few emigre Bagrationis about.
On the other hand, since David had a whole harem and his successor Solomon an even bigger one (700 official wives and 300 concubines, according to the Old Testament), probably most of the Jewish people are descended from him by one bloodline or another.

It seems King David had Adonijah killed for nothing?
Adonijah asks for Abishag to be his wife and David has him killed, but when Adonijah tried to claim the king’s throne he was forgiven; seems like the latter was rather trivial. What was his transgression for asking Abishag for a wife?
I think you meant to say, "Solomon had him killed". (If I remember correctly)
Abishag was the wife of the previous king. Taking her as wife could be construed as
* Adonijah taking David’s place (because he would have, in a very real sense, "possession" of David’s wife)
* Adonijah making yet another attempt at taking the throne
* Adonijah attempting to produce an heir that could be claimed to be both his and David’s
I’m sure that you get the idea. Essentially, Adonijah would have been marring the Queen of Judah – which would give him (if he wanted it) additional justification for making a claim for the throne. Solomon viewed this act as a political move against him and had Adonijah executed because he was proving to be a continuing threat to Solomon’s own rule.

According to the first covenant in original hebrew: Do you think Adam and Eve were ruddy like King David?
" Adam " means " red earth " in hebrew, and Eve was created from a rib of Adam by the Lord.
In 1 Samuel 16:12, King David is described by the word
" edmoni " which means " ruddy " in hebrew.
So King David was ruddy.
The same word " edmoni " is taken to describe Esau,
the twin brother of Jacob, in Genesis 25:25,
and Esau was truly well known to be ruddy.
I know that Adam was, but God may have tweaked Eve’s DNA to make her dark haired and dark eyed. Nothing is impossible with God.
Is there any evidence that Queen Elizabeth II is descended from King David?
My understanding is that Queen Elizabeth (and others) can supposedly trace their lineage back to Jesus, and through him, to Kind David and the House of David. It was Jesus’ s dad, Joseph, who was supposedly from the House of David….BUT if Mary really was a virgin, as we’re supposed to believe the virgin birth, then Jesus isn’t actually of the same bloodline as Joseph, just part of the same family (in a legal sense). Then how is Jesus from the same bloodline as King David? and by extention, Queen Elizabeth?
No, genealogists during the Middle Ages padded their family histories with mythical heroes and historical figures to enhance the prestige of their royal clients. During the Dark Ages, not even the kings could read, so many kingly pedigrees are essentially oral histories as told by bards who also enhanced their tales.
Elizabeth II can verify her lineage back to William I, the Conqueror, as can theoretically almost every one else in England, and from him back a little earlier. William (a.k.a. "William, the b*stard") was the illegitimate son of Robert I, Duke of Normandy. His mother, Herveva, was the daughter of Fulbert, a local tanner. William, however, was also the nephew of Queen Emma of Normandy, King Ethelred, the Unready, and King Canute, the Great. He used these claims to justify his invasion of England and his right to the English crown.
Robert I, William’s dad, was a descendant of Rollo, a Viking leader of contested origin, who beseiged Paris in 885. In 911, Rollo’s army was defeated at the Battle of Chartes by the French King, Charles, the Simple. Rather than paying Rollo to leave as was the usual custom, Charles bequeathed what is now known as Normandy to Rollo.
Norwegian and Icelandic historians believe that Rollo was a son of Rognvald Eysteinsson, Earl of Mere, in western Norway, who is also known as Rognvald, the Wise, Eysteinsson (son of Eystein Ivarsson), who founded the Earldom of Orkney (off the coast of Scotland) in the Norse Sagas. Monks recorded this history centuries after it occurred in the 12th-century "Historia Norwegiae". Unless "Eystein" is Jewish, that line stops here, although Elizabeth II can also trace her family tree back to Charlemagne and from there back to Saint Arnulf of Metz, son of Arnoald (582-640).
Finally, since Margaret Tudor married James IV of Scotland and her descendants married into the Hanover Dynasty, Elizabeth can verify her descent from Scottish kings back to Kenneth MacAlpin (d. 850), the legendary first King of the Scots–now that’s an achievement most likely duplicated by almost anyone of Scottish descent. Any one belonging to Clan Donald, for example, can theoretically trace back his or her descent to Kenneth I.
King David In The Holy Bible (King Of Israel)
The Kings of Israel are listed in the book of 1 Chronicles. There are also listed all the genealogies of Israel. Saul, the first ruler in Israel, was of the tribe of Benjamin. Saul was a ruler who became extremely jealous, because David was favored by God. Therefore Saul pursued him at every chance in order to slay him. However, Saul was never successful, although there were many close calls. Each time Saul came close to slaying him, a cry would go out to God and a way of escape would be provided. Saul’s reign ended by being overcome by the Philistines. In order not to be taken captive and abused by the enemies, Saul and the armor bearers fell on their swords and died. Since David was a strong leader of Israel even during the reign of Saul, the tribes set him as ruler over them, which they could not have done without God’s blessings. God told David earlier that he would shepherd Israel and rule over them. Therefore this prophecy came true.
King David in the Bible was a sheep herder prior to becoming ruler in Israel. The ruler was described as having a ruddy or red complexion. Second Samuel describes King David in the Bible as good-looking and having beautiful eyes. Samuel was commanded by God to anoint the lad to be king over Israel. Samuel knew the future ruler was in the house of Jesse. So, Samuel went to Jesse, asking that Jesse’s sons be brought before him. Upon reviewing them, Samuel declared that none of them were the anointed. At the time, the future ruler was tending sheep away from what was happening. Samuel asked Jesse if there were any more sons in the family, at which time David was brought before the prophet. Then, Samuel anointed David. However, he would not become ruler for quite some time. The lad would serve in the army under Saul and win many victories in battle, becoming well-known to the people of Israel for this time of military service. For these reasons, Saul would become jealous and begin pursuit of the future ruler.
David was one of the greatest kings of all the kings of Israel ever to reign. It is through the lineage of David that Jesus was born. The Bible follows his lineage up to the time of Christ. In fact, the Bible is the entire genealogical history of Jesus which includes the beginning of the creation of the world, and tells of man’s relationship to God. David had many sons from his wives and concubines. One of the most famous concubines was Bathsheba, who was the wife of Uriah the Hittite. Uriah was a soldier in Israel’s army. When David saw Bathsheba, he took her to bed, and sent her husband to the front where the battle was the most fearsome. There Uriah died, and God later judged David for this sin by allowing the child he had by Bathsheba to die. However, the second son born by Bathsheba would be used of God to build the temple. This child’s name was Solomon. Because of sinning with Bathsheba, God said a son would be the one to build this temple, even though it was David’s desire to do this. God decide the temple would be built by Solomon.
No matter where one reads in the scriptures about King David in the Bible, a picture of love is presented in many different forms. Each form includes some form of redemption from the sins committed by the people, and also includes God’s response of acceptance and love when they are back in the fold once again. Isn’t it wonderful that God loves us so much!
